Hunter and Juez are our resident horses. We purchased them for field trialing with the dogs, but they have become part of the family. They think that they are just big dogs themselves. Hunter is a gray Tennessee Walker and Juez is a Bay and Chestnut Peruvian Paso. We were lucky to get great horses. When we were interested in a horse, Rob Tomczak of Shiloh Kennels took us under his wing and made sure we had a good safe horse. Hunter is out of his breeding. I can put anyone on him and he will take care of them. Juez is Pam’s horse and has a little more motor. Our friend Rodney Albin brought him to a trial to test out. One ride for Pam and he was ours. They will either be at trials with us, or lounging in our yard. Skip was the newest addition and oldest of our herd. Skip was Hailey’s horse and a backup for trials. He has been around the trial game a long time. He likes to move when we give him the chance, but protected Hailey and was kind to her. He was our smallest at 14 hands. He is now retired and living the life of luxury on pasture with several other older horses.
